CHAPTER 7: YOU LIVE IN A VIDEO GAME
> “Life is not random. You are in an experience designed for growth, connection, and joy—rendered so convincingly that you forget you’re playing.”
Stepping Into the Game
Picture this:
You open your eyes in a vivid world of color, sound, and sensation. You can feel the ground under your feet. You can hear your own breath. You can touch, taste, and think.
But here’s the twist—everything around you is being rendered in real-time by a system so advanced, it makes even the most immersive video game look primitive.
Welcome to your life.
In Univism, we understand this reality through two powerful models: The 3 Circles (how consciousness is connected) and The 3 Stacks (how timelines and possibilities are organized). Together, they give you the map of where you are, who you are, and how you move through the simulation.
---
The 3 Circles: How Reality is Structured
Visualize three circles arranged like a triangle—two at the top, one below in the middle.
1. The Console – LCS (Larger Consciousness System)
The top-left circle is the LCS—the ultimate “game engine.” It renders the simulation and feeds experience to every player.
2. The Players – ICUs (Individuated Conscious Units)
The top-right circle is filled with countless small circles—each one an ICU. This is your higher consciousness, the “you” that exists outside the simulation, making choices and directing your avatar.
3. The Simulation – VR (Virtual Reality)
The bottom circle is the game itself—our universe, rendered so convincingly that your avatar (body) experiences it as the only reality.
Flow of the Game:
LCS ↔ ICU – The LCS sends data to your ICU; you send back your choices.
ICU → VR – Your ICU acts through your avatar.
LCS → VR – The LCS ensures everything is consistent and immersive.
Your avatar believes this VR is all there is—but your ICU sees both the game and the bigger picture.
---
The 3 Stacks: How Timelines Work
Now imagine a cardboard box holding three neat stacks of paper—Past, Present, Future.
Each sheet of paper is a possible timeline—a complete simulation, waiting to be rendered.
The VR renders only one sheet at a time based on your ICU’s choices, even though all possibilities already exist within the LCS.
Shared realities (where ICUs interact) and private realities (dreams, imagination, daydreams) are both real. The brain treats vivid imagination as real experience.
This is not “mind over matter” magic—physical reality still requires action, knowledge, and effort.
But imagination shapes your path:
Visualizing a skill wires your brain for it.
Planning in detail creates a mental blueprint.
Technology (AI, VR, AR) will increasingly bridge imagination with physical reality.
Rule of the Game:
The more vividly and often you imagine your desired reality, the more your choices and actions align to create it.
---
Timeline Dynamics
Just like a branching story game:
Splitting – Major decisions create new possible timelines.
Merging – Similar timelines collapse together to save “system resources.”
The LCS holds every possibility, but only renders the one you are actively living—exactly like a video game that contains all possible actions but only shows the ones you take.
---
Why This Matters for You
If life is a simulation, then:
You are more than your body—you are a player outside the game.
Imagination is not pretend—it’s a design tool.
Growth is the purpose—not survival.
Your private, nonphysical reality is the workshop where you design the life you want.
Your physical reality is where you test and refine it.
---
Practical Exercise: Designing Your Next Level
1. Choose a Goal – Pick something you want to experience.
2. Render It in Mind – Close your eyes and vividly imagine it as already true. See, hear, and feel the details.
3. Anchor the Feeling – Let the emotional state sink in.
4. Take One Physical Step – Bring one element of that imagined reality into your day.
Repeat daily. This is how you consciously play the game.
---
Key Takeaway:
You are not trapped in a fixed world—you are navigating a vast, living simulation. Your ICU is outside of it. Your avatar is inside of it. And both are here for one reason:
To grow, connect, and create.
